The insulation and groove clamp is used for the connection of the small and medium-sized section of the aluminum strand or steel core aluminum strand and the steel strand of the overhead lightning conductor in the position of not bearing tension, and also for the jumper connection of the non-linear tower. When two conductors contact under external force, the contact is mainly in the form of peak to peak contact. Therefore, the actual mechanical contact area is far less than the nominal contact area of fixture design, the actual mechanical contact area is about 7% of the nominal contact area.
